About

I'm a founder, engineer, and author based in Utah. I hold a degree in economics and have spent the past thirty years in information technology — building software products end to end, from the hard technical core to the brand and interface that make them usable.

Today that means a small family of governance and security products — Nuronus for MSP compliance, AI Assurance Hub for AI governance, and KyberCrypt for post-quantum encrypted file transfer. I also write about technology and work — most recently the book Engels' Pause: AI, Work, and the Lessons of the Industrial Age. This site collects the ventures, the writing, and the places you can find me.

Drawing on four industrial transitions, from the power loom to the computer, Engels' Pause asks what history reveals about the arrival of artificial intelligence. Clear-eyed, historically grounded, and unwilling to flinch from what the evidence shows.
